My name is Pat McGee and I am a deputy sheriff at cook county sheriff’s department in Chicago, Illinois. Twenty-five years ago, I co-founded a charity organization, Monday night with the kids to help children from Chicago’s underprivileged areas by providing exciting experiences with positive role models.
On December 18th, Monday night with the kids will take 30 children to the rainforest cafe for a special Christmas dinner. At the party, we hope to give each one, ages 8-16, Christmas presents to make their holiday memorable. For most of them, this will be the only celebration they will have this year due to circumstances beyond their control.
Tom, I need a Christmas miracle to pull off this event in a month from now. It has been a tough year for everyone involved and donations have been thin. Please, grant us a Christmas wish and cover the cost of the holiday meal and gifts for the kids.
