Horoscopes for the week of November 15th
“Our global cry fest is leading us somewhere. It is opening us up to who we need to be now.” ~Marianne Williamson
What I found most upsetting, about the viral video of a deputy tossing a teenage student across the classroom floor at a South Carolina high school, was not that she was black and he was white. It was that the actions of both student and officer were actually debated by journalists and “experts.” The most disturbing part of a viral video, that showed a young Palestinian boy bleeding in the street, was not that some of the Israeli bystanders hovered over him yelling, “death to the terrorist.” It was that no one tried to console this 15-year old child as he screamed in fear before he died. What kills me, about the viral video of a crowd of men in Afghanistan stoning a young woman to death, was not so much that she was standing in a hole dug in the ground, with only her head exposed to ensure impact. It was because someone actually recorded it, and then posted it onto social media.
No matter where you are from –Guatemala, Nigeria, or Burma – there seems to be a lack of reverence for human life around the world. The violent acts that we hear, read, and see about almost daily are never justified. Never. Not just because she is black, or because he is just a child, or because she is a woman, but because we are human beings. No one story of mass killings and terrorist acts deserves more media coverage than another. I did not change my Facebook profile picture to reflect the French flag in a show of solidarity with its people, nor did I offer condolences for the lives lost in Beirut. Does it matter? I am outraged that any of it happened! Not just because of the image of bodies piled up at a university in Kenya, or because of the Syrian refugee crisis, or because of the 40+ students kidnapped and murdered in Mexico City last year. I am outraged because there seems to be a lack of reverence for human life around the world.
“An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind;” this was what Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once wrote, quoting Mahatma Gandhi. He followed with, “it is immoral because it seeks to humiliate instead of win understanding.” I often hear similar sentiments in everyday conversations, sentiments that condemn a person or a group of people to suffering. I am not exempt from these sentiments either; it takes a conscious effort and a strong faith to show consistent compassion. But I will never claim to be an authority over the fate of others. My intention, always, even if challenging and difficult, is to connect and find common ground. We need to move past conflict, friends. We need to get over our fucking egos. We need to educate ourselves. We need to get curious about our differences. We need to intentionally build relationships with those deemed as “other” (a damning word if you ask me). We need to show mercy. We need to hold ourselves accountable for the lives we lead and the messages we send to our children.
There seems to be a lack of reverence for human life around the world. We need to love our fellow man.

Aries: There is nothing wrong with dreaming of an ideal world, where racism does not exist, inequality of all kinds is eradicated, and suffering is no longer a part of life. But in order to reach such ideals, you have to be prepared to act in accordance with what you know. It is not enough to simply dream; you have to believe that the dream is real, set an intention, and see it through. Your challenge is to create what you envision, Aries. The real world application of your truth is required. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.
Taurus: Intimate matters and the combining of resources are not always easy for your sign, Taurus. Your possessions are important to you, and you can be quite attached to the people and things that you covet. But there is now a wonderful opportunity for you to align with a group or affiliation that offers much in the way of rewards and benefits. If you can bring yourself to share, whether it is an idea or an important item, it may surprise you what is gained as a result. Take it one step at a time. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.
Gemini: Business partnerships, contractual agreements, and new employment opportunities are highlighted, Gemini. Of course, you will have to be mindful of what it is you are signing up for. If a job or a new position sounds too good to be true, it most likely is. At the same time, if you are finally ready to invest in a vocation that gives you a sense of purpose; don’t let the question of “how” get in the way. There are plenty of people available to offer you much support. All you have to do is ask. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.
Cancer: Your own personal philosophies, Cancer, may be uncertain at this time. With so much pressure on your daily life – schedule management, general health, and your overall well being – you might be questioning whose life are you actually living. You do have your own beliefs as to the type of life you want to live, and it is very possible to carve out the lifestyle you envision. But this requires trust in the process, along with intentional actions. Build in time during the day to dream. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.
Leo: Intimate matters may feel a bit confusing. There could be someone in your life with whom you wish to be close but there are restrictions for whatever reason. It is equally possible that you want to invest in a creative project, but there is uncertainty as to how you can obtain the resources required. The best way to navigate your next move requires faith, and adjustments to your plan. Leo is not the most flexible; a willingness to let things unfold to a certain extent will go a long way. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.
Virgo: Relationships seem more magical and mystical, which is great. But the reality of a romantic situation might not be so great. When in doubt, listen to your gut. You are learning how to strengthen your emotional resolve, which involves much nurturing on your part, ensuring that your feelings are protected. This does not mean that you should guard yourself from love. But it does mean that you should be a bit more mindful of whom you chose as your partner or significant other. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.
Libra: Education is a theme for many Libras. This could entail going back to school, or learning some important life lessons. No matter your experience, however, the learning curve can be found in how you manage your daily life, i.e., your schedule, your general health, and your overall well being. If you are looking to embark on a program that requires much of your time and energy, it will be important that you become more efficient in managing your chores. Adjustments must be made. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.
Scorpio: It is time to tighten your belt and get serious about what it is that you truly value in the way of personal security, Scorpio. Do you want to invest in a dream or a creative project? Are you hoping to save money to start a family? Are you OK to take a risk in a speculative venture? If the answer is ‘yes’ to any of these (or whatever you are currently asking about what it is you want to manifest in your life), you will have to get past your fears and insecurities, and start doing the work. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.
Sagittarius: As you become more disciplined and focused on laying down the foundations that will serve you for the rest of your life, it is where you live – what gives you a feeling of home – that still has a big question mark. It would be easy to believe that this speaks to your physical space, and that relocation is thus required. But home is where the heart is, Sagittarius (I’ve said this to you before); maybe you should focus on your inner sanctuary, before you begin to look for an outer sanctuary. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.
Capricorn: Don’t be afraid to acknowledge all that is abstract and unseen, Capricorn. You have got an amazing opportunity to reach a deeper awareness of self that requires a bit of faith on your part. The hard facts and figures may not be readily accessible as you begin to traverse spiritual ground. Thus, it is not necessary for you to map out your course of action. Communication and interactions with others take on more meaning when it comes from the soul, anyway. Try the poetic approach. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.
Aquarius: It is time to get real about your personal sense of security, Aquarius. This includes everything from your priorities and what you value, to your self-esteem, to your financial stability. Now would not be a good time to invest in a big idea for the greater good – i.e., a non-profit or organized network. At the same time, it would behoove you to walk away from a non-profit or organized network that no longer reflects what you find to be of worth or importance in your life. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.
Pisces: Of all the zodiac signs, yours is the one most equipped to offer compassion and understanding; even more so as the mystical planet Neptune transits The Fish. However, this cannot be done at the expense of what gives you meaning in life, especially when it comes to your work and profession. Be careful not to sacrifice yourself for a job well done, especially if your efforts go unnoticed. This does not mean you should stop putting forth the effort. Just stop being the savior. As a certified Life Coach, my job is to empower you to live an empowered life. Visit traceylrogers.com for details.
